Description
GearMax Synthetic Gear Oil is a hydrocarbon-basestock industrial gear oil formulated with superior extreme-pressure and advanced additive technology to resist gear scuffing and micropitting while delivering 1-3% energy savings, along with strong resistance to oil degradation and sludge formation for extended drain intervals.
Characteristics: designed for spur, helical, and bevel industrial gears operating in harsh environments across a wide temperature range; built to meet Flender standards; suitable for circulating and splash-lubricated gears and bearings; not advised for worm gear units.
Benefits: maximum protection against corrosion and wear; outstanding resistance to micropitting; excellent heat and oxidation resistance for up to four times longer oil drain intervals; operates at full capacity up to 120C.
Meets performance standards including AGMA 9005-E02 EP, US Steel 224, DIN 51517 Part 3, David Brown S1.53.101, FLENDER Gear Units (Revision 16) T7300 Table A-c, and Fives Cincinnati Machine Gear.
Typical characteristics (ISO VG 150 / 220 / 320 / 460 / 680): Kinematic Viscosity at 40C – 158.7 / 223.4 / 326.5 / 462.7 / 685.1 mm2/s; Viscosity Index – 148.2 / 149 / 153 / 159 / 167; Flash Point (COC) – 235C / 240C / 242C / 248C / 254C; Pour Point – -45C / -45C / -42C / -40C / -39C; Four-Ball Weld Load – 200 / 250 / 250 / 250 / 250 kgf; FZG Scuffing Load Stage 14 throughout.
